Self Enlightenment is NOT just a nice idea or set of philosophies, it is a natural and achievable state of being; it is our birth right and our destiny.

It is well known and well documented that the direct experience of the enlightened, is the outshining of all pain, sorrow, suffering and karma, resulting in a state of peace that surpasses all understanding. To the enlightened, the goal of life is the transcendence (out shining) of all illusion and ego or a sense of self as a separate individual.

2012 is a time of great awakening, now is the time to join together in exploring, understanding and experiencing the reality of our Inner Light Consciousness.  Now is the time to let Your Life and Your Light Shine.

Those who have become Masters often make statements such as: To yourself be true and the truth will set you free, Make yourself as an innocent child, Be as a Virgin in consciousness.  Who is the self that they refer too? What do they mean by innocent and virgin in consciousness and the truth is simple? We must ask ourselves why the wise ones make such statements and how do these wisdom truths; apply to each of us in our everyday lives.

How can it be that some ‘all be it the minority’ have attained such wisdom of understanding and self enlightenment? Their lives and their lights are like beacons lighting the way for the rest of humanity to follow! Yet as Mahatma Ghandi said mankind is notoriously dull when it comes to following this sign of God, it’s as if we need a drum constantly beaten in our ears.

In this time of great change and need for change, perhaps we could consider this as Gods drum that is beating in our ears calling us all to return to the wisdom of the enlightened in order to attain our own self enlightenment.

As a newly born child, we are innocent, pure and virgin in consciousness. This natural state of being only changes as and when we learn to think! If we are not fortunate to be raised by and in the presence of the already enlightened, we learn to think in ways that are detrimental to our natural state of being. What is natural then becomes unnatural and rather than maintaining a state of purity of innocence, our life and consciousness becomes impregnated with thoughts and ideas of a separate self identity that is seemingly cut off from the greater good and oneness with all. Consequently we become no longer pure, innocent and virgin in consciousness and action until we choose to commit ourselves to return to what is and always was our true and natural state of being.   John Christian
